Our purpose

Food ideas shaped with care.

We’re a Canadian startup exploring iodine-enriched food concepts, with children, families and care partners in mind.

Our ideas are still in development. We’re sharing the thinking behind them while we learn what thoughtful, responsible development should look like.

Where the idea began

A nutrition idea, considered through familiar foods.

Superiodide’s original business plan explored snacks and foods enriched with potassium iodide. It placed children and the people who care for them at the centre, and considered familiar formats, flavour preferences and ingredient needs.

That plan is a starting point for exploration, not a statement that a finished or clinically validated product exists. We are taking care to keep early concepts distinct from proven health outcomes and to seek appropriate guidance as development continues.

What guides our thinking

A careful approach, from the start.

The principles we want to carry into future development.

People before products

Listen to families and care partners, and understand the routines and preferences that shape everyday choices.

Familiar formats

Explore approachable foods and flavours instead of assuming one format works for everyone.

Responsible development

Keep quality, safety, ingredient considerations and appropriate expert review in view as ideas evolve.

Our development mindset

Listen. Explore. Review.

Our business plan calls for research, concept development and quality assurance. Each step needs time and the right expertise before an idea can move forward.

Our team

The people behind Superiodide.

A two-person team bringing the idea forward with care.

Founder

Dr. Mojtaba Ansari Jafari

Team member

Seyed Mohammad Mahdi Rowhani

Dr. Jafari’s long career in nuclear medicine, including experience related to iodine-131 absorption testing, informed the original idea behind Superiodide. His professional background also includes medical training, specialist practice, clinical research and teaching.

His research has appeared in peer-reviewed medical publications, including work in nuclear medicine and related clinical fields.

Dr. Jafari and Seyed Mohammad Mahdi Rowhani make up Superiodide’s two-person team. The concepts remain in development, and future product work would require appropriate food, quality and regulatory expertise.

The team is continuing its early exploration of familiar food concepts while identifying the expertise and review needed for future development.

Who we keep in mind

Families and the people who support them.

Early planning identified children, parents and care partners as important voices, alongside organizations that support families. We hope to keep listening as the work develops.

We have not announced product availability or confirmed care partnerships. If you’re interested in the direction we’re exploring, we’d be glad to hear from you.
